Role Purpose

The purpose of the Apprentice Chef is to align with the future growth plans, and the Academy will have a strong presence in training and developing candidates that have a passion to excel their career in the kitchens.

This role will create a clear career pathway and enable future potential ambitious chefs to train and learn on the job, whilst shadowing the existing kitchen teams.

Shadowing Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the kitchen teams at specific food stations to prepare meals.
  • Ensuring the stations are always kept clean and tidy.
  • Assisting with Measurement and Preparation of ingredients including vegetables and meat.
  • Awareness of portion control and waste control.
  • Providing customer service with all internal & external customers.

What does it involve?

Working in partnership, HIT Training’s Chef Academy provides intensive practical cookery workshops where chefs can hone their culinary cookery and preparation skills, or learn new ones, to fully meet Audley's brand standards.

The workshops take place in selected demonstration kitchens in 30 venues across the country or via online interactive workshops and aim to deliver the highly valued skills needed to meet the demands of the kitchen – for now and the future.

At the workshops, our chefs spend time with industry experts, sharing ideas and boosting their understanding of key areas such as preparation and cooking, as well as flavour profiling, dish composition and seasonality. Whether you’re a trainee, intermediate, or experienced chef, there is always an exciting opportunity to expand your skillset.
